LAGOON FALLS
Some colours exist in nature before they exist in gemstones. The blue-green of a lagoon at midday is one of them.
Lagoon Falls is built around two matched indicolite tourmalines totalling 2.02 carats, 1.00 and 1.02 carats respectively, a blue-green so rare within the tourmaline family that most collectors spend years looking for a single stone of this quality. Finding two that belong together is something else entirely. Each stone hangs from a cascading line of tapered baguette and princess cut diamonds, all D colour and SI1 clarity, totalling 0.83 carats, set in 18 karat white gold. The result is an earring that moves the way fine jewelry should. With complete confidence.
No heat. No treatment. What you see is exactly what was found.
Lagoon Falls comes with a LOTUS Gemology certificate and is presented in an original Orloff of Denmark jewelry box.

About Tourmaline
Tourmaline is one of the few gemstones that occurs in virtually every colour. Red, pink, green, blue, violet, black, and everything between. That range is not a coincidence. It comes from a crystal structure so chemically complex that trace elements combine in ways found nowhere else in the mineral world. The most coveted varieties have their own names. Paraiba, Rubelite, Indicolite, Chrome. Each one is its own category within the same family. What unites them is rarity, and the fact that tourmaline rarely needs heat treatment to show its best colour. What you find is what you get.
Indicolite is the blue to blue-green variety of tourmaline, and one of the rarest colours the mineral produces. Most blue tourmalines lean too grey or too green to qualify. A fine indicolite sits in that precise window where the colour is neither, and both at once. The depth shifts depending on the light and the angle. No two look exactly alike. For collectors who know colored stones, indicolite occupies a quiet but respected place. Prized by those who understand what they are looking at.
